Season 2 - Episode 2: Discipline with Jithin George
In this episode, Fr. Thomas Pulickal and Anthony Kunnumpurath are joined by Jithin George, a licensed mental health counselor, for an engaging conversation on impulsiveness, emotions, and the vital role of self-discipline. Jithin shares from his experience how self-discipline enables us to move beyond reacting out of impulse or emotion, helping us integrate our feelings into thoughtful and intentional decision-making. The discussion also delves into how discipline is communicated and modeled to others, especially children. Jithin reflects on parenting his own children, why it’s important to impart discipline in a way that builds character and responsibility—without instilling fear—emphasizing how love, guidance, and consistency shape emotionally healthy individuals.
