S02E16 - This is part 2 of my play session of The Fires of Chaterra with Cezar Capacle. Last time, we got to know our characters Carter and Twig, and travel through Carter’s old home of Mushtown, which was ravaged by the Everflame. In this episode, our heroes are faced with some difficult choices as the plot takes a turn.

S02E15 - I recently had the privilege of sitting down with Cezar Capacle, a Brazilian designer with a flare for solo and/or gmless, tabletop rpgs. Most of his games are light on rules and heavy on immersion. He’s an incredibly innovative designer, and a talented improvisational role-player… And I consider myself a Superfan.
Cezar is currently hosting a game design jam for games built with his Push rpg system, and to celebrate that, Cezar and I got together to design a game together and record the process. The result of that design session was The Fires of Chaterra. If you would like to see the design process, you can head over to the YouTube channel. Just search Instadeath Podcast on Youtube, or click the link in the show notes.
In this and the next episode of the podcast, Cezar and I got back together to record an actual play to show the game in action.
What your about to hear is a fully improved actual play session of the game, and I’m proud both of how the game turned out, and the tale that Cezar and I wove together with it.
So relax and enjoy, The Fires of Chaterra…

S02E12 - Jeremy is back to talk about technology in a space that celebrates the analog. What can apps bring to ttrpgs? Can software replace a game master? Long Dog Games thinks it can do that and more. Listen to learn one possible vision of a future where analog and digital work together to create one rich tabletop gaming experience.
Jeremy Morgan is back to chat about why we play TTRPGs. This is a fun conversation that kinda rambles all over the place.

S02E10 - We're back with Jeremy Morgan from Long Dog Games, and today we're going to get into some of the history of Pericle, including their first attempt at Kickstarter and how that's taken them to today, as they're launching their new campaign for Pericle: Gathering Darkness.
Jeremy said of their first campaign "We're a bunch of game geeks...Lifelong lovers of games. We're authors, we're artists, we are game creators. The one key thing that was missing is nobody on the team really had any knowledge of crowdfunding at all. We didn't have advertising knowledge. And so what we saw in our first Kickstarter was the people who were with us were like stoked for this game. They thought that it's a really great idea; this is pushing the boundaries of tabletop RPGs. But our problem was that we spent about $4,000 total in ads and anybody listening, who knows anything about that knows that that's just not enough to do hardly anything with."
Pericle: Gathering Darkness is on Kickstarter from March 9th - April 9th, 2022. https://www.periclethegame.com
S02E09 - Pericle is a unique tabletop roleplaying game launching on Kickstarter. Long Dog Games aim to create an experience that is a cross between Dungeons & Dragons and Gloomhaven, all driven by a massive branching narrative in a multimedia app experience. I chat with Jeremy Morgan, the Director of Long Dog Games to talk about the game, the world, and the characters you can play.
