In a perhaps not-so-instant reaction show of Talkin’ Badgers due to the news of the evening, we digest the rollercoaster three hours Wisconsin football fans had inside Camp Randall Stadium on Thursday night. Yes, the Wisconsin Badgers walked off of Barry Alvarez Field with a 17-0 victory, but the final score nearly felt like an afterthought.
Jeff Grimes and Jackson Acker returned the Wisconsin offense to its roots with a fullback dive. Sebastian Cheeks, Mason Reiger, and Christian Alliegro tormented the Miami RedHawks’ offensive backfield. Nathanial Vakos did what he failed to do all last year and hit a field goal from between 40 and 49 yards.
Nonetheless, it was yet another apparent significant injury to yet another one-year transfer starting quarterback that dominated the post-game headlines.
