A simple folky stringed composition inspired by an admired and legendary folk guitar player, Gordon Mikefield, to those who know of the alias ;) now supposedly & hopefully not retired.

A haunting kind of tune with a selected arrangement comprising of acoustic & electric guitars, double-bass, mellotron and glockenspiel.

Experimental sessions with the Mellotron 4000 virtual-synth.

Always loved the sound of this 60's-70's haunting synth so i've put together an arrangement and composed several transitioned verses in a progressive rock-guitar style around this iconic synth. The sound produced from this virtual-synth are actually sampled from the genuine unit, and i've picked four of it's many presets in this piece.

With a few twists and turns it's a bit of a mixed genre, i started off with a kind of Morricone/Leone idea of a wild west spaghetti-western vibe, then a friend and musician Dave Svensson (thx D :) suggested i expand on it, thus creating a blend of Spanish, Folk, Classical & Rock guitars with a dash of Blues, fused together with this classic synth.

Light Years, the final track from the album Parallels.

A while in the making, and mixes together several ideas i had for single tracks for the album, and connects with a previous longer track Nucleus, creating a path or journey through space and time along with several other tracks relating to the theories and current laws of physics and the cosmos.

In six parts as follows;

We dedicate this version of "Let There Be Light", one of Mike Oldfield's brilliant pieces of music to the Oldfield family, we are also greatly inspired by these gifted and very talented musicians.

David, asked me to perform some guitar on his version, and is one of his favourite pieces by, Mr Oldfield, and I gladly accepted.

This is also one of my first at an improvised cover, and a great choice by, David, indeed.

And I must say it was an absolute pleasure working on his superb arrangement.. a very talented player devoted to music, and sincere friend.
