Manefiu, whose real name is Iancu Marian, hails from Sighisoara and is now based in Bucharest. He is one of the founders of UMVU Agency, Urband MIDI Records, and WHOAMI Records. His love for electronic music began at an early age, further fueled by the experience of building professional speakers with his uncle, which were tested with music from his own portfolio.

Manefiu first encountered electronic music at 14, creating his initial compilation from soundtracks of an Ibiza documentary. He began his career by sharing his mixes with friends and playing at local parties. Over time, he ventured into music production but maintained a focus on performing at private events, festivals, and abroad. He has had the opportunity to share the stage with notable names such as Franco Cinelli, Suciu, Dubtil, Dan Andrei, Sublee, Piticu, Sepp, Cally, Mihai Pol, Macarie, Vid, Aamir, Vlad Arapasu, Prichindel, Alejandro Fernandez, and others, performing in cities like Amsterdam, Bucharest, Brasov, Suceava, and Sighisoara, and at festivals including Vuiet and DAVA Festival.
