In this episode, we discuss the importance of being able to integrate our exploration back into getting better on the field. One of the major mistakes that many people make who go all in on exploring to become more athletic often coaches end up programming activities to explore just for the sake of exploration. We don't want them to get good at doing random novel tasks but figure out how to perform more consistently and effectively come game time. Therefore it's imperative that coaches discover how to harness the power of exploration to facilitate skill development. At the end of the day, our goal is to help them to find a more functional fit, meaning more consistent and effective ways of solving any emerging problem they may face come game time. Our goal is to keep the main thing the main thing. Our conversation was facilitated by another Vervaeke video this time we use a small clip from Lex Fridman's Podcast (EP 317).
