In Week 3 of These Things You've Heard Me Say, we explore 2 Timothy 2:14–26 and discover that discipleship is about far more than gaining biblical knowledge—it is about transformation. Paul reminds Timothy that the gospel is the source of life, that gospel formation becomes visible in how we live, and that the gospel frees us to pursue spiritual maturity.
What is forming you? The voices, ideas, habits, and influences we allow into our lives are shaping us, and what forms us will eventually become visible. But the good news is that Jesus doesn't simply call us away from sin—He frees us to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace alongside other believers.
The purpose of discipleship is transformation: becoming people who are increasingly shaped by the gospel and equipped to help others mature and multiply as followers of Jesus.
