Episode 44 features the head coach of Elk River High School, Steve Hamilton. Coach shares his journey from coaching high school football in Michigan and Georgia, to turning around Elk River into one of Minnesota’s elite programs. We also discuss Elk River’s dominant Power T offense and learn its techniques, schematics, and practice structure for implementing and teaching the offense at any level.   

Episode 43 features the head coach of Mound-Westonka High School, Nick David. Coach discusses the importance of culture in building a program and outlines his key components for creating leaders, building toughness, and forming meaningful relationships.  We also learn his vision for building a youth program and increasing retention with players throughout their high school careers.     

Episode 42 features the head coach of Lakeville South High School, Tyler Krebs. Coach discusses the keys to turning around struggling programs and overcoming adversity to achieve sustainable success.  We also dig into Lakeville South’s highly productive Power T offense and discuss the difficulty of the transition to the old-fashioned offense in the modern era.  

Episode 41 features the defensive coordinator of Kansas Wesleyan University, John Michaletti.  Coach recalls the impact of his playing career on his development as a coach, along with the challenges that accompany being a young coordinator at your alma mater.  Coach also discusses how to create an effective defensive system, advancements in secondary play, and methods for defending modern RPOs. Episode 40 features the offensive coordinator at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Chase Vogler  Coach relives his playing career as a decorated 4 year starter and national champion at UMD and shares his rise through the coaching ranks that has landed him back at his alma mater.  Coach also details the tenants of his offensive system and shares tips for building a championship mindset in your program.  

Episode 39 features the offensive coordinator at Princeton University, Andrew Aurich.  Coach details his career as a player at Princeton and discusses his journey in the coaching profession that landed him back with his Alma Mater.  Coach also discusses the keys behind Princeton becoming the 6th rated rushing offense in the nation in 2018, ways to protect your best run plays, and how coaches can create successful offensive lineman in their own program. 

Episode 38 features the head coaches of Ennis and Athens High School, Sam and Zac Harrell.  The Harrell’s discuss their family’s history in football, their coaching philosophies and foundational values, their dynamic offensive philosophies, and tips for coaches who aspire to coach their children.  Finally, both coaches look into the future and discuss what the future has in store for their coaching careers and life outside of football. The Harrell’s are one of the great football families in our game today and having them as guests on our program was a great privilege. 

 Episode 37 features the offensive coordinator at William & Mary, Brennan Marion.  Coach details his life’s journey through adversity that saw him deal with injuries, homelessness, and ultimately growth and success at the high school and collegiate coaching levels.  Coach discusses the influences in his offensive philosophy, the up-tempo and innovative formations that he uses, and the keys to relationship building at all levels.  

Episode 36 features the head coach of Gustavus Adolphus College, Peter Haugen.  Coach details his rise from a three sport college athlete, to coaching and being an administrator at the high school level, to finally becoming a head football coach at the collegiate level.  Coach shares his vision and foundational values of his programs and discusses ways to cultivate leadership in others, while maintaining balance in your life.  

Episode 35 features the head coach of Lincoln Christian and the founder of Culture Coordinator, Kurt Earl.  Coach Earl discusses the keys to building and repairing culture within any program and will discuss strategies for integrating and unifying a culture within any organization.  Coach also shares his growth as a head coach and his future goals for himself, his program, and Culture Coordinator.
