Dr Haynes Collins is our guest for episode 1 of Interculturality Podcasts. Haynes is an associate professor of intercultural studies in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies, University of Leeds. His teaching responsibilities fall broadly within the areas of intercultural studies, sociolinguistics, and language teaching. He's interested in the ways "institutional and media discourses mobilise the concept of culture and interculturality to serve ideological agendas". He writes about and conducts ethnographic research within the area of interculturality with a recent project called "An Anthropology of Swimming".
