An interview with Jenny, one of the longest serving members of the JST

In the final episode of my sailing trip we made our way down the Thames. My watch was the last watch on the bridge and I was in charge of our little gang. This brings back all the emotions!

Coming towards the end of the trip now these diary entries details our excursions on the Channel islands and our entry to the Thames basin. Oh yes, and there was an amazing cheesecake!

Leaving the islands we headed east into the Atlantic. Over these days I spent time up in the rigging, learning new knots and Helming the ship at night.

Listen to me chatting away about the beautiful Azores islands. We went up a kind of volcano, spent some time in pubs and bars and went to a very nice pizza house

As we near the Azores in the Atlantic listen to me talk about rope tying, the continuing murder mystery game and then later join me at the top of the hill listening to the peaceful sounds on the islands.

You join me sailing across the Atlantic Ocean at the beginning of a four week adventure. After the storm blew it self out here I am dealing with day-to-day life on board ship which includes mess duty and the murder mystery game.

You join myself, Taz and Stu on our rail-based trip to Cologne and Vienna. Catching one of Europe’s largest Gothic cathedrals and a trip on the night jet sleeper train amongst other things.
