Fred leveraged his fame as an outspoken defensive back in the NFL to a long standing career in Hollywood. He was one of the most popular actors in the Blaxploitation era, but way more importantly, Fred sought to produce movies on his own terms. He has appeared in over 100 movies and has produced dozens of them.
