For the ninth month of 1994, we trek north for a white knuckle adventure!

Former river guide Gail Hartman (Meryl Streep) brings her son Roarke (Joseph Mazzello) to her old haunts on the Salmon River in Idaho. Not only does Gail have to deal with rough waters, but when her workaholic husband Tom (David Strathairn) decides to join them, she has to deal with their rocky marital issues. On top of all that, the trio crosses path with a pair of vagabonds (Kevin Bacon & John C. Reilly). Can Gail master The Gauntlet, a treacherous stretch of the river, just like she did in her heyday, or will everything sink around her? She might just be in over her head on….The River Wild!

For the eighth month of 1994, we sashay our way back Down Under!

Sydney based drag queen Mitzi Del Bra (Hugo Weaving) is requested to set up a show for a hotel all the way across the country, in Alice Springs. He convinces old friend Bernadette (Terence Stamp) and upstart diva Felicia (Guy Pearce) to join him. Felicia manages to find a bus that will take them across the Outback, christening it Priscilla. For the seventh month of 1994, we let some anger out in Beantown!

Boston bomb squad leader Jimmy Dove (Jeff.Bridges) is haunted by his past, where he participated in IRA terrorism alongside pal Ryan Gaerity (Tommy Lee Jones). Now escaoed from prison, Gaerity tracks Jimmy down and completely dismantles his life. While Gaerity dispatches his squad one by one, Jimmy must stay one step ahead and keep his wire cutters ready. Danny DeVito returns to the podcast to play Bill Rago, a disgraced ad man who finds himself in the position to teach some upstart army brats about the works of William Shakespeare. For the fifth month of 1994, we reversed course and went to the prehistoric era!

Adapted from the beloved animated sitcom about cavemen best friends Fred and Barney, this live-action edition finds Fred fooled by a quarry executive out for some easy money. Set up as the fall guy, Fred must enlist his best friend Barney and their wives Wilma and Betty in order to outsmart the nefarious administrator. He’ll find out soon just who’s boulder in….The Flintstones!

For the fourth month of 1994, we jumped ahead to the dystopian future of 2022!

Ex-marine John Robbins (Ray Liotta) finds himself imprisoned on an island populated with vicious bands of rogues and killers, led by either the enigmatic Father (Lance Henriksen) or the chaotic Marek (Stuart Wilson). Will Robbins ever find his way off the island, or will he choose to live out his days fighting to survive? Perhaps, after all, there will be….No Escape!

What once was a brilliant musical with songs by Prince and Carole King ended up as a bomb at the box office under the watchful eye of Simpsons creator James L. Brooks. For the first month of 1994, we take to the high seas!
