Helpful Information
Diet books are everywhere (and you probably have read a few yourself), so I usually avoid them. But I was intrigued by the title. I have fasted for religious or spiritual reasons, and I know it can be extremely valuable and helpful in those situations, so why not for losing weight? I found it fascinating that there is a difference between crash dieting and intermittent fasting. You're going to want to discover the difference for your self. I was also intrigued by the chapter discussing the science behind fasting. The book also covers other weight loss issues as they relate to fasting, things like supplements and exercise. The book is structured well, but there are a few problems with grammar and typos. Even so, the book is still helpful and worth the read. If you're interested in fasting as a dieting tool, then give this book a look. Recommended.
This is a perfect book to read for those who are planning to try out this type of eating regimen.
Ok, so this book has a few typo errors but it did not stop me from rating it five star because it is very reader friendly. There is not much technical stuff discussed within the book but the author made sure to explain that there is no one solution for everyone. Solutions for weight loss and healthy substitutions vary from person to person. I also like that this book had devoted a certain amount of explanation to the difference between an intermittent fasting and crash dieting. I am one of the guilty ones who thought that the two are synonymous. There is also a portion in this book where the author mentioned that there is no diet or diet plan would be complete without some form of exercise or additional activity. These activities can vary from exercise routines or just adding some type of house activity that allows you to move your whole body. This is a perfect book to read for those who are planning to try out this type of eating regimen.
various fasting options presented
Fasting has been known as a healthy and a spiritual practice since the ancient days. After going through this book, I understand why. Intermittent fasting being different from crash dieting, is a healthier option for those who could not take the total fast, like myself. This book also discusses the various IF options, which I find really good. It is only now that I read about the various types of IF.
