Dr. Tierra Ellis is a phycologist that specializes in adolescent and young adult health and all things trauma-related. Tierra graduated from Arizona State University in 2012 with two bachelors of arts degrees in psychology and African and American studies and a minor in dance. From there she went on to further her education at Howard University where she earned her doctorate in school psychology. Tierra doesn't just talk about the change, she lives it, She is the founder and executive director of Phycs of color, inc which is a non-profit organization that uses a strengths-based approach to provide mental health education, academic support, family support and mentoring to decrease the stigma of mental health and promote radical healing to black and Latina adolescents and young adults at-risk of the school to prison pipeline Dr. Tierra Ellis uses her pain from the past to create healing in the present and future.
