International Students, Going Digital and College Sports

Immigration and Customs Enforcement announce international students in the United States may have to leave the country if universities switch to online-only classes. In response, Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology filed a lawsuit against the District Court of Boston.

According to NAFSA, international students in the U.S. contribute around $41 billion to the national economy. 

Williams College is reducing the cost of attendance by 15% from the cost approved in December for the 2020-21 academic year.

Morehouse College President David Thomas drew national attention when they announced the cancellation of fall sports - cross country and football.

Following this news, the Ivy League schools became the first Division I conference to suspend all fall sports due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Over 315 college admissions deans are drafting a new collective statement to establish and adjust expectations for the upcoming school year.

A generous gift from educational equity philanthropists allows 200 first-year students to attend Spelman College with a full four-year scholarship.
