This video reveals the core cashflow component from my 'Pure Hustle Business Plan' that details how to make money starting with $0 This Marketing Arbitrage business model is a great way to build a marketing agency fast and I lay it all out for you here in even greater detail. If you missed the original video that covered the full pure hustle business plan, go here and watch it next: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8JEFNMOg5Q If you want the next video in the series with the full Marketing Arbitrage course... Go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAaVTFvxQHg What makes this business model so powerful is the fact that you are doing B2B sales, or selling to businesses that generate tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of dollars per month in revenue. They also have marketing budgets and usually need help adapting to the constant changes of digital marketing, social media marketing and mobile friendly web design. This video explains how you can become their trusted advisor and independent contractor who takes care of their digital marketing needs, without 'doing all the work' If you want to see step-by-step how to build a wordpress site and a sales funnel for clients, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsUNFZhqkEA This is the one business model that created all the difference for me on my path of paying off my student loans and building a full time income online. First off, it allowed me to get out of the cubicle and commute lifestyle which free'd up over 3 hours per day extra that I was able to sell digital marketing services and to work on my WordPress sites. Second, it put me in control of how much money I was able to make per hour. I went from a $25 per hour customer support job to doing $25 per hour WordPress development work, overnight. Then, once I solidified my team and got my skills up to where I could do the same work in half the time, I was earning $50 - $75/hour and more. All the while, I was able to offer my local businesses a great marketing service for much cheaper than US based designers and developers could. Plus building them a wordpress site focused on content marketing and SEO allowed their sites to outrank the more expensive sites that classically trained designers were selling for $10,000+ After helping them get their 'home on the web' built on WordPress, the next step was to offer additional marketing services, because it is easier to sell more to your current customers than it is to go find new customers. This is where you can build on a continuity component, also. Getting clients in at $500 - $1000 per month for 4 - 8 blog posts per month and social media management puts you at 10 - 20 clients away from earning $10,000 per month! For me, I was investing back in my business and putting every extra dollar I had into my student loans because getting out from under that debt fast was a huge emotional need for me. I felt suffocated by the nearly $50,000 in debt and this pushed me to work long hours, through the nights some nights, selling services I had never done before, but figuring it out along the way. The key to this kind of a model is to get good at 1) talking to business owners and asking the right kinds of questions that get them to admit/realize that their businesses need marketing help to step into the 'new age' of internet/digital marketing. 2) You need to get good ad outsourcing the small tasks to developers and designers in order to keep your time free'd up to do more of #1 Finally, the quality of what you deliver is 100% on you... You always have to go through everything you deliver with a fine-toothed comb to make sure that you are over-delivering to your customers. I also share exactly how I 'outsourced' the WordPress development as someone who had no experience with code at all... My hack for creating mock-ups and 'showing' the developers what I wanted was simple and effective. Although I'm not working this business model anymore, because my information product and affiliate marketing business are doing well enough at this point... I will always look back at this phase in my life fondly. This was my 'short cut' out of the rat race, but it still only created a 'self employed' situation... Which is only step 2 (of 4) on the cashflow quadrants. Learn more about the cashflow quadrants in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YqEt4HsNyk
"Miles, If You Had To Start Over And Had No Money, What Would You Do?" My Answer Is The Pure Hustle Business Plan
Model your facebook advertising and your marketing funnel on what works for your competitors with these 3 tools. Doing competitive research is the key to creating an advertising campaign that converts. Plus you can understand more about your unique mechanism and your big idea when you dig into what your competitors are doing! The goal when spying on your competition's facebook ads and marketing funnels, or funnel hacking them, is to understand what is working now and to go even deeper and figure out 'why' they are doing what they are doing!!! Too many people think that swipe files are designed to be a shortcut to ad copy but really it is an opportunity to peer inside of the mind of a great marketer and understand what they know to be true of their target market's needs/wants/desires. Eugene Schwartz said that great copy is not written it is assembled... This allows you to look inside of the different copy blocks your competitors and the best marketers in the world are using to hook persuade their audience. This video starts out from the theoretical standpoint of how to use your personal Facebook account on your cell phone to track your competitors directly. Nothing beats this level of hand-to-hand combat and competition research! When you see the same headline being used on their site, their ads for months on end, you know that is a winner for them and you will understand how you can add your own unique mechanism to it or USP to the marketplace to build on what works to come up with something that elevates your brand/product above the competition. Then we jump on the computer and look at the 3 websites that I use to reverse engineer my competitors' facebook ad campaigns. Generally, when I am digging into this kind of research, I will spend hours upon hours going through their funnel, buying their products, recording their sales videos, even having their VSLs transcribed sometimes, to have that copy on hand. I study the copywriting and marketing material of the greats, like Dan Kennedy, Frank Kern, Mike Dillard, Eben Pagan, Jay Abraham, Brendon Burchard and more... I don't only geek out on the headlines and the words or copy blocks themselves, but also on the funnel design, the 'hook' they use, their leads, their 'Big Idea', their unique mechanisms, etc. It becomes a 'treasure hunt' to me to find these components and this is when I have my 'ah ha' moments that click together why they are doing what they are doing, why the market is responding to it and from that realization, I can synthesize how to bring that kind of approach for my target market. You can do this too, but you have to become a true student of marketing, and not a 'quick hit' opportunity seeker.
The Facebook Ads interface is always changing and here is what you need to know in order to survive!
Is your internet business stable enough to weather Amazongeddon or a similar event? If not, you must watch this video. If you aren't sure what Amazongeddon is, that is a phrase FBA (Fulfilled By Amazon) sellers and Amazon affiliates are calling the recent changes to the cost and payout structure that Amazon just rolled out. Affiliates used to make a flat 8.5% commission per sale on every product when they reached a certain level of sales volume each month. This now has a sliding scale of affiliate commission that is based on product categories and can be as low as 1%. On the flip side, the costs associated with selling items as an FBA seller have gone up. Amazon is squeaking out a few percentage points more in profit at the expense of individuals who have built their businesses on the backs of Amazon. Now is this wrong of Amazon? Of course not. Is this 'fair'? Of course it is, this is business! Here is the thing... People like my wife and I who sell a handfull of products on Amazon and promote a few products as affiliates will not notice these changes in our bottom line next month, because we have dozens of additional revenue streams. Someone who built their entire business on Amazon affiliate websites may literally see their income drop by 50% - 80% by this! And, in my career of internet marketing, this is definitely not the first time I've seen this kind of drastic shift from a major player. My first income was direct linking users from Myspace to affiliate links... That dried up completely with one change in their TOS. I lived through the 'cheap Adwords' days of Google when clicks were 5 and 10 cents that are now several dollars. I've survived the organic SEO gold rush that imploded with the Panda update of 2011 and the Penguin update and Hummingbird updates plus the zillion others... I watched the "Google Slap" take down entire businesses, cut family income down to nothing and watched too many 'baller' internet marketers get knocked off their gilded thrones in those days. I rode the organic Facebook wave to nearly 1 million fans before that flipped to a 'pay to play' system and now I'm squeezing every ounce I can out of their ads system before it follows the exact same trend Google's Adwords system did. I'm now pushing on Pinterest organic and continuing to be on the lookout for the next big platform to jump on and test through while keeping all of the other plates spinning. I've seen people build fragile businesses built on one platform, one traffic source, and one product. History shows time and time again, that these businesses die eventually. A great example of this is how some people are growing 'lifestyle brands' on Instagram and that is their only 'business'... May work for a while, but as soon as Facebook is ready to monetize IG more, the reach will slip organically and everyone will have to pay to play there, too! You need to build a stable business with a foundation from multiple traffic sources and multiple revenue sources! Ultimately I want to see you have multiple streams of income that are all totally stable! That is what this video is all about... If you want to know specifically what to do, check out my 3 pillars video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-ZhK00OkBE I don't like to dwell on stuff like this, but I did want to be sure I communicated this clearly... Because we are living through a very prosperous time during an extended bull market... And this can't last forever. There will be a pull back and a correction in the market, and it may hurt... There will be changes from TOS of major traffic sources and income sources... And it may hurt! The truth is, the more stable of a base you have built, the easier you will weather the impending storm. And, after every bear market comes another bull market... Just like after every dark night... The sun surely rises. You just have to have yourself setup to be able to survive the night to get to the next dawn. This is why I find it so important for you to have an emergency fund, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuFaGUV2q-I
If your content marketing strategy is missing one or more pillars, then you're destined for mediocre results. When you get all three pillars to your content marketing strategy working, liking to each other and growing, you are able to create a web of high authority content that can elevate your marketing results with minimal energy turning your wordpress site into an authority site. This is key to a successful internet marketing campaign. Content marketing positions you as a niche expert to your customer avatar and also helps your visitors get to know you, like you and trust you so when you do offer your opt in or products, the likelihood of them converting goes up significantly. This is a powerful inbound marketing strategy as described in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVt2YzdzYVs You are also able to leverage the brand value of the different platforms when you are displayed as a relevant search result and the shelf-life of content focused on these three pillars are infinitely greater than only focusing on social media marketing. You can also retarget your visitors with Facebook advertising once they visit your site if you have your Facebook tracking pixel installed and get a much better cost per click and cost per lead vs. cold marketing, as explained in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgJ6g3hjD_4 The three pillars are video marketing on YouTube, audio on Podcasts or written word on your WordPress blog. The first step is to figure out which pillar is going to be your content generation pillar. This pillar needs to fit your personality and DNA... Meaning if you are a comfortable and confident writer, use that! For me, writing is a total pain in the neck, and I'm comfortable speaking on camera, so video is my content generation pillar. After you have decided on how you want to generate content moving forward, you need to commit to taking massive action... This video shows the power and results from consistent action taken over time in this fashion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOuAMtTxE6k It is important to keep in mind Search Engine Optimization at every step... For video marketing, you should optimize each one for YouTube SEO before publishing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffkxuvFAE2k For your wordpress blog posts, each one needs to be optimized for search on Google: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu5lo2_WC1c This is why I recommend you spend enough time mastering the first content marketing pillar before moving on to the next. You need to be sure you are maximizing your efforts on each of these and this is best taken in steps. Then, decide on what the next easiest pillar to add on will be for you... If you are writing long form blog posts, your next step is to get a spoken .mp3 of the content. You can find someone on Fiverr to do this for you for cheap! Many Fiverr providers will not only speak out the track but will make it into a full video for you so you can publish it straight to YouTube. This concludes your second pillar. Third, in this scenario would be to publish the mp3 file separately to a podcast hosting site like Libsyn or SoundCloud and create a podcast with your audio content. For podcasting, you will want to 'drip out' your audio files on a launch schedule like we discussed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsFvfJvADfE When podcasting is not your content generation pillar, I believe it is best saved for last... Focusing on YouTube and your WordPress blog as the first two pillars of your content marketing strategy. This is because you may not want every post/video to be an episode (exactly what I'm doing) so you may need a larger queue of content to pull from in order to get a consistent publishing schedule once you start. Another important thing to keep in mind about your content marketing efforts... You don't have to get this all up and running at the same time. As I explained in this video, it took me several months to find and work with my writer who is turning my videos into written content (with the help of Trint)... And now, over 6 months into content creation, I am just barely getting started launching my podcast. The whole theory here is to get all you can out of everything you create... Mainly focusing on the platforms and locations that will get you the longest shelf life for your efforts. Once you have this strategy in place, you can move onto the concept of content syndication, which can leverage paid traffic and social media marketing to get even more reach for your content and your video marketing efforts.
Learn the powerful "Two Step" Facebook PPC advertising strategy that warms & converts traffic to leads, fast! In my last video, I explained how my Google organic SEO traffic was boosting the effectiveness of my facebook ads and cutting my cost per lead down by as much as 40% That video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgJ6g3hjD_4 But what do you do if you don't have a strong organic SEO based site with a ton of Google traffic? Well, the answer to that question is what I reveal in this video. You are able to create a two step facebook campaign that helps you turn cold traffic into warm traffic and then turn your warm traffic into leads and customers. This strategy is comprised of two separate campaigns you run simultaneously. It requires you to structure your Facebook audiences for retargeting in a specific way, which I show how to do that, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxgN4qu-wFk The first campaign is focused on getting clicks to your website, driving traffic from Facebook to an in-depth, hyper-relevant and awesome piece of content! This can be an advertorial, a case study or an "ultimate guide" type post and is most often best focused on people who are 'problem aware' (from our phases of prospect awareness video you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ7qaJyLKIM I would start this ad campaign off as a CPC campaign and once I set my baseline for CPM (cost per thousand impressions) I would consider split testing a CPM based campaign to try and get an even better deal on these clicks. I'd be looking for clicks at the 15 cent to 25 cent range here... And I'd expect a very high relevance score... If your relevance score is below 7 or your CPC is too high, you either have the wrong audience targeted or your messaging is not relevant. The be-all end-all video that teaches how to target your audience on Facebook with their Audience Insights tool is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g17t182OgA The second facebook ad campaign that runs at the same time is a retargeting campaign via either a CPC (cost per click) or oCPM (optimized for conversion) campaign. This campaign only displays to users who have your facebook retargeting pixel on their browser that they received when they clicked through the first ad campaign to the long-form content. At this point, the prospect has been 'warmed up' to your ideas and your brand... They have seen multiple posts of yours (your ads) in Facebook, has been to your website before and the likelihood of them going deeper into your marketing funnel is increased due to these connections. When you go to measure the effectiveness of this type of PPC strategy you must take into consideration the cost of the first click to your content plus the cost per click to your site for your tracking purposes. You would then compare that combined CPC against a cold traffic CPC to your funnel... See which clicks were a better value. Also, be sure you are tracking the conversion rate of your opt in page and your OTO (one time offer) for cold traffic and the two-step traffic separately to see if you are getting a better conversion rate from the warm or cold traffic. With these numbers, you have all the data you need to have statistical proof over which facebook advertising campaign is generating higher quality traffic for a better deal. Remember... It is not always about the 'lowest cost per click' and you should stay more focused on your cost per lead and cost per new custom acquisition for your main key performance indicators. Since you now have the full understanding about this FB advertising strategy, its time to get your hands dirty and launch some ad campaigns! This video shows you exactly how to setup Facebook ads from start to finish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYY6zn3c8Xk
Learn the secret to boosting your Facebook Advertising through Google SEO traffic! As mentioned, you can get the full case study that shows my exact funnel, landing pages, sales pages and advertisements that generated these results through Facebook ads in this case study: http://www.milesbeckler.com/fbads The core concept here is retargeting the organic traffic received from google search results and SEO. There is no special 'trick' to facebook retargeting other than having your facebook tracking pixel installed correctly on all your blog posts. If you don't have organic SEO traffic from Google, you can leverage a 'Two Step' Facebook advertising campaign instead as outlined in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCC5H-oAa1c If you are more interested in learning everything you can about Facebook advertising then you will get a ton of value from this video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYY6zn3c8Xk&list=PL0sOKzn__yK2WLfPcyzwnULUV3uy8031s This video covers how to advertise on Facebook : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYY6zn3c8Xk How to target your audiences with the audience insights tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g17t182OgA This above tool and video may very well be one of the most powerful free advertising tools available, today! And in that playlist from the top link above you will find even more, including the tracking pixel, the different campaign types, etc. If you are already comfortable with the facebook advertising side of things, but not getting the cost per lead you desire, I recommend implementing an inbound marketing strategy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVt2YzdzYVs And of course, a successful SEO or Search Engine Optimization strategy to get organic traffic from Google: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu5lo2_WC1c You see, it is important for you to move forward with your online business in a way that creates a stable base consisting of multiple pillars of web traffic. If your internet marketing strategy consists of one platform and one web traffic source you are potentially setting yourself up for disaster! Having multiple streams of traffic allows you to reach a larger audience of different users at different phases of awareness that your potential customers go through... More on that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ7qaJyLKIM It also secures you against an algorithm change, a large increase in cost per leads or other outside force like getting your account shut down, from totally ruining your online business. Taking that concept one step further, this video shows how you are able to get your marketing efforts on different platforms to actually work together to help you get a better deal on your leads and customers through facebook advertising.
Is "Inbound Marketing" just another buzz word or an important pillar in your online business? With internet marketing continuing to evolve, it is always a question of when should you listen to a concept and take action, or stay focused on your big game plan. Inbound marketing is not a fad or a buzzword, but a name for a simple strategy that is the fastest way to build trust and establish you in your niche as an authority fast. The phrase can be used interchangeably with content marketing or SEO in many cases, but it does deserve a full understanding on its own! Here is a complete video on my personal content marketing strategy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-ZhK00OkBE Plus there are some hidden benefits to a successful inbound marketing campaign including the ability to grow an audience you can retarget to on different platforms such as facebook advertising, adroll or retargeting with Google. Here is the video where I show how beneficial the inbound marketing strategy was on my last Facebook PPC campaign: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgJ6g3hjD_4 Video on Organic SEO I mentioned: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu5lo2_WC1c Video on YouTube SEO : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffkxuvFAE2k
Learn the digital marketing angles to implement the most powerful ideas from Eugene Schwartz's famous book "Breakthrough Advertising!" Understanding the state of awareness of your target prospect is key to creating an advertisement and a landing page that will get the prospect to take the action you desire. If you're using a marketing funnel that is for an advanced state of awareness but your audience you're targeting on Facebook is for a unaware state of awareness… You're going to have a huge marketing problem! For Gene Schwartz in the breakthrough advertising days, The feedback loop to learn all of this was literally months because he was doing all of this work through direct mail. In this day and age, we have the benefit of using Internet marketing and pay per click marketing such as Facebook advertising in order to accomplish the same goal that Eugene Schwartz accomplished in a much shorter period of time. With that said, it's incredibly important to keep in mind the truths that Eugene Schwartz uncovered and documented in his breakthrough advertising book. Mainly the states of prospect awareness. In the world of Internet marketing, we often talk about traffic in terms of cold, warm, hot. Although this is true it misses a couple of the key psychological triggers that people have within each of these traffic temperatures. This is where the concept of the states of prospect awareness come into play. Prospects are in a range of completely unaware to most aware. In between these we have solution aware, product aware, and problem aware. Is not only important to craft your marketing messages in a way that connects with the prospects state of awareness, but it's also best to use an advertising channel that most reflects the destination a prospect will go to as they are researching the problem or solution. For example, a prospect to his problem aware will generally go to Google and search for solutions to their problem in order to bridge the gap from problem aware to solution aware. A prospect who is most aware will probably be looking for a deal and if you re-target this prospect through Facebook advertising with a coupon code you have a very high likelihood of converting that prospect into a customer. This is why I prefer to build a content rich business that has a strong search engine optimized presence in addition to running paid Facebook ads directly to my marketing funnel. Each medium meets the prospect at their individual level of awareness and assists that prospect in bridging the gap to the next level of awareness. By blending organic Google search results and pay per click ads I'm able to educate the prospects on the problems and solutions while following up with them for long enough to make sure I'm able to close the sale.. You also create a situation where you are "showing up everywhere" which boosts your company and products perception in the mind of your prospect. This is a very deep marketing concept that is important for you to understand fully so you can craft your marketing messages, your Facebook advertisements, and your education-based marketing funnels in a way that will create the maximum results for the least effort and ad spend possible.
