In celebration of Earth Month, the Imua Podcast will be hosting the podcast Intersections, produced by 'Iolani student Audrey Lin '25. Intersections is a podcast that strives to examine the interdisciplinary and intergenerational workings of the globe’s fight to stop climate change by “talking story” with leaders who are in the sustainability space. If you are interested in these conversations, please come to 'Iolani’s Intersections Sustainability Fair on Saturday, April 27, 2024. For more information, visit https://linktr.ee/intersectionsiolani.
Today’s guest is Dr. Paul Bernstein: a multifaceted research economist and policy specialist at UHERO, the University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization, who focuses on the use of economic models to study environmental policies and fuel markets. In the world of lobbying, Dr. Bernstein is also an integral part of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby Hawaii team and an adult mentor to the Climate Future Forum, a youth-based climate platform.
This episode is a wonderful discussion on the intersection of policy and research. Dr. Bernstein also provides insight into the value of service and the importance of mentoring young students.
If you are (or someone you know is) interested in joining the Climate Future Forum, please visit https://www.climatefuturehawaii.org/ or follow @cff_hawaii on Instagram.
