Yellow Brit Road

Interview Snippet: The Speed of Sound

Listen Later

Manchester indie rock band The Speed of Sound have been around for a long time, and know the indie scene well. They're making their dent on it once again by releasing their fifth studio album, Museum of Tomorrow, on 17 September 2021. The album orbits indie but reaches out to include diverse influences including New Wave, synth rock, jazz, pop, art rock, amongst others, and is a fantastic listen. I caught up with John Armstrong, songwriter and guitarist in the band, to talk about the album, the independent scene, radio, music, and so much more.

Here's a little teaser of what's to come. Tune in to the Yellow Brit Road on Thursday, 30 September from 1 to 3 PM EST (6 to 8 PM BST) to catch the full interview along with an album play live on radio on CFRC 101.9 FM in Kingston, ON or at cfrc.ca, and watch out for the interview on the podcast feed.

Grab your tour guide at https://bigstirrecords.bandcamp.com/album/museum-of-tomorrow and enter the Museum of Tomorrow with me!

Do touch that dial and tune in live! We're on at CFRC 101.9 FM in the Kingston area, or on cfrc.ca, Sundays 8 to 9 PM! (Full shows are available in the archive for 3 months from release)
