Listen Later

In this episode I spend some time talking to Andy from Nano Things about his store, the role the community has played in his life personally and what role we think the community will play in Nano’s story. Andy is super laid back and good spirited. He is crazy about Nano and loves the community. Tune in to learn a little bit about the vision behind Nano Things and meet an all around good guy.

Need to buy Nano, but don’t know what exchange to use? Binance is one of the largest exchanges in the world, has an easy to use interface and is more or less free from glitches. I have personally always had a great experience and would recommend it. If you want to use Binance and share some love, use my referral link!

There are two ways for the community to support the Nano network and in turn make it more secure and decentralized. The easiest way is to open/login to your Nano wallet and change your representative to a trusted rep. You can view information about nodes at nanonode.ninja and the Nano Node Monitor (if the owner has it configured). The second and more difficult way to support the network is by setting up a node. Nodes help decentralize the voting that takes place on the Nano chain. You can learn more about that here: https://bit.ly/2qmEJoq
Setting up a node can be really easy and is relatively inexpensive. The first thing you will need to host a node is a server. This can be hosted locally or you can buy server space from a third party. I use Digital Ocean and so far have had a great experience. In addition there are lots of guides written with Digital Ocean in mind. Once you have your droplet you can follow this quick and easy guide: https://nanotools.github.io/easy-nano... (If you have any questions about setting up nodes, Reddit and the Discord are great resources). If you want to use Digital Ocean, and share some love, use my referral link and get a $10 discount!
