Frank is a '93 Graduate from the University of Michigan (B.S. Kinesiology). Frank worked in the outpatient physical therapy setting as an ATC during the '93-'96 years. Frank started his career in professional baseball in 1996 working for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. First 4 years ('96,'97,'98,'99) as a minor league ATC and his final 3 years with the Rangers as their Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator ('00,'01,'02). In 2003 Frank was named the Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball club where he held the position for the next 9 years (2011). In 2008 Frank was part of the “Professional Baseball Sports Medicine” staff of the year as named by Baseball Prospectus magazine. In 2012 Frank opened VESLA 360 Sports Performance & Physical Therapy. A state of the art sports performance training center in the north suburbs of Pittsburgh PA. Frank co-owned VESLA 360 for 4.5 years before selling his shares and joining the Allegheny Health Network as their Director of Sports Performance. Frank is in charge of developing the sports performance department for AHN. Managing two facilities (Wexford, PA and Bethel Park, PA) that have Physical Therapy, Strength Training and Conditioning, Therapeutic Massage, Sports Nutrition, Recovery services and a Baseball/Softball Academy. Frank was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for gold medal winning TEAM USA in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Frank also acts as a Senior Advisor for the Professional Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society helping to coordinator the educational component of the baseball winter meetings. Frank is married and lives with his wife and two sons in Pittsburgh, PA.
