Thinking of the Future

Interview with Jacob Reaume

Listen Later

Within the Church, there's a lot of controversy over whether we should be meeting or whether we should obey the government and stay closed. In the United States, most of the churches who have chosen to obey Scripture have not seen a ton of pushback. In Canada, however, multiple pastors are facing huge fines, as well as jail or long prison sentences. In this episode, we sat down with Jacob Reaume from Trinity Bible Chapel in Waterloo, Ontario. Pastor Jacob is facing close to $1,000,000 in fines and nine years behind bars, and the church facing $50,000 in fines for gathering and preaching the Gospel in an era where the government wants his congregation kept from meeting... and many other churches in the area are standing against this local body's right to gather. We discuss all of this with Pastor Jacob, as he gives us a look at what is going on in Canada, right from the middle of it.
