After the last few weeks, we just need a break. We need a laugh. So today, that's what we're going to do as we explore some - just some - of America's stupidest police laws. Producer Bryan took over the show, and didn't let Wayne or Averi see the script. So sit back, relax, and have a laugh with us.
We get to discuss COVID again. Yay.
Oregon and Washington have re-instituted masks. In Oregon, that includes if you're outside. Never forget, in Oregon, the very air you breathe is toxic. Be afraid.
Or, you know, you could take a look at the hard data. Your call.
It's been fairly obvious since the beginning, but now it's unmistakable: This isn't about a disease. It's about control. And more control is coming.
Join us today as we discuss the return to the lockdowns.
Just a couple of weeks into Washington's new rules for police, we're seeing the effects. Been eying that school bus over there? You might as well take it. If the police see you driving around in it, it's not like they can come after you.
Today, Wayne and Averi discuss what these new rules mean and their results. And by the results, we mean all over the state.
What effects will these rules have long-term for crime and safety? Hold on, folks. We're about to find out.
The founders of the United States of America had a really good idea, and a pretty revolutionary one at that. Where almost every previous regime in history was about controlling the people, the Constitution was written to restrict the government. The first amendment,
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
lays out five ways in which the government cannot control your life. The first is that they cannot establish or prohibit religious expression. Some would say that means it was probably the first on their minds.
In 2021, after almost every state government told churches that they could not gather, it would be difficult on any level to defend the idea that government has not overreached this restriction.
Today, Wayne and Averi dive into the recent encroachments of government upon our religious liberties, how various tolerant* political groups are using government overreach to get their way against the religious convictions of others, and what it really means to practice freedom of religion.
In the end, the separation of church and state exists to protect churches from the government... not the other way around.

A devastating earthquake, a cholera outbreak, massive gang violence, and government corruption that was in place before either of those happened have created the perfect storm to keep the people of Haiti, the poorest people in the Western Hemisphere.
Today we'll dive into these factors and more as we explore what's happening in Haiti.
Recently, an assassination rocked Haiti. In a country with intense turmoil for the memorable past, it's not completely unexpected, even if it is shocking.
Today, we take a look at what's going on in Haiti, everything that led up to the current situation, and at a high level what it would take to fix it.
Please join our team in keeping the people of the poorest country in the western hemisphere in your prayers.
Wayne's dad, Dan Ettling, joined the show again for a powerful talk about the effects of the push for wokeness and Critical Race Theory in the military.
Join us for a fascinating look at life in the military, the differences made by a Republican or Democrat Commander in Chief, the places where women turn out to be a huge asset, and a look at why a true soldier only cares about one thing regarding other soldiers.
LANGUAGE WARNING: Sometimes, in quoting a soldier, you have to say offensive words. We apologize for not apologizing.
Vaccine Passports. In many places across America, the idea is pretty well dead - and in some states they've been made illegal. Of course, being from the West Coast, it's still up in the air for us.
It's fascinating to watch this play out from Vancouver, Washington, as we have two states, and two very different populations, to watch this reality play out. On the north side of the Columbia River, the situation is similar to many areas of the country, where you can wear your mask if you want to. You can leave your mask behind. Cause if you don't mask, if your friends don't mask then they must be friends of mine.
Ahem, sorry. Your faithful producer got carried away to the 80s there.
A friend who just returned to the PNW from Oklahoma said the masks are almost a joke there. Around here, it's probably a 50/50 split. Even in Oregon and Washington, as you move toward the heartland of America, you will see fewer and fewer people obediently wearing masks.
But if we cross the river from Vancouver into Portland, businesses are violating HIPAA and requiring to see your vaccine passport in order to go inside unmuzzled.
Today we take a look at how people are reacting to the masks, what the future may hold, the ways state governments are handling forward movement, and what this means for our long-term liberty as citizens of the United States of America... or subjects as it seems so many want to be.
After a week off, we're back!
With around 60% of Americans having received the COVID-19 vaccine/gene therapy/whatever you want to call it and governments around the world pushing for everyone to take it, we look at the way different people approached this decision, and the reasons they made the choice that they did.
We also explore why it is that the government, media, and so many are pushing so hard to make this a reality. But at the end, should they? With the World Health Organization making the decision they did about children receiving this injection just hours before we recorded this episode, we're wondering what that means for everyone else.
But either way, whose decision should it ultimately be?
Wayne and Averi dive into all of this (and the producer edited out some exclamations from himself) in today's episode.
The loudest liberals hate them. Most conservatives love them. But what are the facts about guns, and why are they important?
Today Wayne and Averi discuss the place and functions of guns in our society, who should have the right to carry them, what restrictions should be placed upon them, and the truth about the number of people killed versus those saved.
