Mark is very passionate about gardening. He has been gardening since he was a little boy. He loves helping and educating people who wants to learn how to be a great gardener. ABOUT MARK LYONS:
Mark Lyons, a.k.a. “The Garden Troubadour”, is a master gardener, consultant, educator & author. He has been gardening since he was 10 years old, and his first success came when he grew a foot long, two-and-a-half-pound cucumber and was featured in the local paper.
Today, Mark runs a successful business, called Green Thumb at Your Service, dedicated to inspiring and coaching people on growing their own food. Based in Palatine, IL, Mark travels around the country to deliver dynamic presentations on vegetable and mushroom gardening, harvest preservation, and home cheesemaking. He is also an accomplished singer/songwriter and performer, who plays guitar, ukulele, and washboard.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT MARK: Back in 2011, after a frustrating job search that was going nowhere, Mark started his own business "Green Thumb at Your Service." Mark teaches people how to grow their own vegetables. He works one-on-one with people to show them how to grow more and better vegetables. Mark also teach classes and give presentations on various gardening topics, and I've recently written my first book http://gardeningconfidence.com/
In addition, he teach classes and give presentations on how to make your own cheese and grow your own mushrooms. Mark is a musician who performs at folk festivals, assisted living centers, children's parties, farmers markets -- any place where musical entertainment is wanted, that's where you'll find Mark.
