There have been close to 15 suicides in the Phoenix area in the past seven months, and shockingly, many of the victims, mostly teens, reportedly sent messages to friends and relatives before their deaths as a cry for help, which went unanswered. This, according to the father of a suicide victim, Pastor Mervyn Reddy, whose daughter, Kaylene took her own life, earlier this year. Since his daughter’s demise, he and his wife are on a mission to conscientise the community on the realities of suicide.
