In this episode, Davi interviews Sharon Lavigne, an environmental justice activist who leads RISE St. James, an organization dedicated to preventing expansion and worsening petrochemical plant pollution in the area of St. James, Louisiana from which she hails. In that role, she was the recipient of the 2021 Goldman Environmental Prize. In 2022, she received the Laetare Metal, the highest honor for American Catholics.
