I'm now taking a bit of a break over the summer to recharge batteries, and I will resume in early September.

Reflecting on the second chapter of St John's Gospel, this meditation explores the wedding at Cana and the cleansing of the Temple. Guided by Mary’s example, we are invited to fill the jars of our daily lives to the brim through temperance, honest work, and profound sincerity. Just as Christ transformed ordinary water into the finest wine and purified His Father’s house, He can cleanse our souls and turn our everyday struggles into abundant divine grace.

This meditation invites us to reflect on the early Christians as an enduring model for our lives in the Work. Despite their human flaws and the hostility of the Roman Empire, their radical spirit of service, profound unity, and mutual love transformed society from within. As we contemplate their vibrant witness, let us ask our Lord for the grace to emulate their zeal and personal apostolate, striving to become a new leaven in the middle of the world through our ordinary daily lives.

This meditation invites us to reflect on Christ's profound example of service, from washing his disciples' feet to his ultimate sacrifice upon the cross. We are challenged to examine our daily attitudes—whether we expect to be served or actively seek opportunities to discreetly help others in our work, studies, and family life. Drawing inspiration from St. Josemaría Escrivá's teaching that to be of use we must serve, let us ask for the grace to abandon our pride and discover the genuine joy of serving those around us with a humble and generous heart.

This meditation explores St. Josemaría’s profound vision of human work, reflecting on our calling as gardeners, children of God, and fishermen. We are reminded that daily labour is not a penalty, but a magnificent opportunity to collaborate with divine grace. By embracing our filiation, we can transform our everyday tasks into a joyful and courageous mission of love, service, and evangelisation.

Initiating a new series on the Gospel of St. John, this meditation invites us to soar into the profound mysteries of the Prologue. We are guided to contemplate the eternal reality of the Trinity, the triumph of light over darkness, and the wondrous gift of divine filiation. By reflecting on the profound humility of St. John the Baptist and the eager response of the first apostles, we ask for the grace to deepen our interior life and, with genuine apostolic zeal, lead those closest to us to a personal encounter with Christ.

By contemplating how the first believers embraced the mystery of the Blessed Trinity and lived their baptismal calling in the middle of the world, we can rid ourselves of the "old leaven" of pride and routine. Let us ask the Holy Spirit for a childlike simplicity and radical freedom, ready to share the new wine of Christ with everyone around us.
