In this episode, we talk with Josh Howard about his role with Discipleship.org and his heart to unleash every believer for the work of making disciples. Everyday people are the key to seeing the kingdom advance and it turns out Jesus plan' of multiplication is the key to seeing the nations reached!

Josh Howard has been a pivotal figure in global disciple-making movements, with a particular focus on South Asia. Since 2008, he has dedicated himself to spreading the Kingdom of God by raising disciples who make disciples, leaders who develop leaders, and churches that plant churches. In his role at Central India Christian Mission (CICM), Josh oversees the church planting school, preparing church planters to venture into unreached areas across India and neighboring countries. In 2015, he launched "Ignite," a ministry that has remarkably started over 16,000 churches in about eight years through movements of multiplication, including over 8,000 churches in 2022. Currently, Josh serves as the Global Mobilization Catalyst for E3 Partners and as the Director of Vision and Mobilization for Discipleship.org, where he continues to inspire and equip others in the mission of disciple-making. Beyond his ministry work, Josh cherishes time with his family. He and his wife, Lashi, reside in the Indianapolis area with their three children: sons Josiah and Jeremiah, and daughter Zara.

In this episode, we talked about bringing our understanding and practice of discipleship into alignment with what we see in the Bible. We see in Jesus' model that there are three components of disciple making, and in our culture we usually stick with one. Susie Walther helps us walk out what it looks like to incorporate all 3.

Susie Walther is the founder of The Well Training Ministry. As a young woman, she served in the military and committed her life to Christ through the influence of her Army roommate. Susie received much of her early discipleship training through The Navigators and served as associate staff with that ministry for 10 years at Ft. Campbell, KY. Her ministry spans 30 years and counting, and includes leading Bible studies, teaching and equipping, mentoring, speaking at conferences and spiritually coaching Christian women in their ministries. Thousands of women have come through the doors of The Well ministry for Bible study and training, which equip women to more effectively do their own work of ministry in their own spheres of influence.

We in the United States are living in a rapidly growing missionary context. This is important to remember because the way we view evangelism and discipleship matters. There seems to be an understanding of evangelism and discipleship in the Church that puts limitations on both commands. John talks to Brad Briscoe about Bounded vs. Centered Set discipleship, and why those distinctions make a huge difference in our day-to-day discipleship.

Brad Brisco directs strategy development for the North American Mission Board. He holds a doctorate in missional ecclesiology; his thesis focused on assisting existing congregations to transition in a missional direction. He also serves on the national leadership team for Forge America Mission Training Network.

We are living in the middle of the largest religious shift in American history - and it's away from the Church. In this episode, Andrew talks with Ian Harber about deconstruction.
