Hello!
Thank you to all of you for tuning in to Into the Pray.
As the intro in this podcast explains, over the weekend we have been compelled to communicate again regarding the proliferation of false doctrine in our churches up and down the country and through the nations of the West.
"Is Your Church Faithful? -The Instruction of 2 Timothy in Assessing The Faithfulness of Our Churches" is the open letter that Nick has written this week to the Church as a result.
This episode of Into the Pray is both a brief back-story by way of explanation about the process of discerning the Lord's leading (that then resulted in this open letter) as well as an audio version of the letter itself.
If you would prefer, you can read the open letter to the Church with Bible references here.
Thank you very much for your ongoing prayers for healing as Nick continues to return to full health. The process is not necessarily overnight! We share more on our Patreon page for those of you who would like to walk this journey more closely with us.
If you would like to support our work, (including a full-length audiobook version of Body Zero) you can do so here and/or here. Please also consider sharing this podcast to your networks for us.

Hello!
Thank you for listening to this week's teaching session through 1 Corinthians. Today we're looking at chapter 13 and especially the first three verses.
**Just to clarify about the point concerning Bar Mitzvah and chapter 13 having 13 verses: obviously these are man-made constructions (the original manuscripts didn’t have chapter or verse divisions) but in Paul’s forensically ordered and inspired thinking it seems significant that this issue of love and ‘coming of age’ is saved for this exact point in his letter.**
In chapter 14, Paul directly commends the distinctive role of individual instruments being played in isolation, for a special visit and for battle; in chapter 12 today, Paul indirectly commends the harmony of an ensemble of instruments being played together, for every day community life.
What would it mean for us to be harmonious and indistinct at the time of war? What would it mean for us to be shrill and obsessed with solos as our main rhythm of community life?
All manner of possible hypothetical scenarios can be concocted, but Paul's principle is clear: the proof of our genuine "coming of age" into the kingdom of God is that we are continuing to ask the present continuous Holy Spirit to increasingly pour into our hearts His agape love.
Love is a noun: love is not love; God is love.

Hello!
Thank you for listening to Into the Pray!
We would be very surprised if there was another podcast available today offering an overview of the prophet Hosea as an antidote to the madnesses of Black Friday.
As a balm for our materialistically bombarding world, sit back in your favourite chair with a coffee or in the car or on the move with your favourite podcast and listen to Nick read part of chapter 7 (HIM) from is book, Body Zero.
Don't forget to join us for our teaching sessions on Sunday! We're continuing to work towards the end of the book of 1 Corinthians in our series, City of Temples. This coming Sunday we'll be looking at the first three verses of Paul's exquisite chapter on love (13).

Hello!
Thank you all for listening to this episode of Into the Pray. You can watch our conversation with Dave Brennan here if you'd prefer.
First of all we'd like to honour the memory of our good friend, Melvin Tinker, who very sadly passed away earlier yesterday morning.
We feel very grateful for the times we had with Melvin, albeit briefly, and will miss calling on him for input and the vast wisdom he carried.
Our next episode of our new YouTube series, featuring Melvin at length, is available here.
The recent conversation Nick had with Melvin, just days before he was diagnosed, is in full here.
"Welcome him [home] then in the Lord with all joy, and honour and highly appreciate men like him..." (Philippans 2:29 AMPC).
Today we have sad hearts but determined all the more continue to look together through the window of Scripture into eternity beyond. Today we are in Jeremiah 7.

Drawing on some experience of open heart surgery and working in a medical context while responsible for some very "high-risk" patients, today Nick goes through the last verses of 1 Corinthians chapter 12 as we continue to think about the main burdens of Paul's heart for the Church:
1) The variety of the Body of Christ;
2) The unity of the Body of Christ;
3) The mission of the Body of Christ.
What will it take to humble the Body of Christ? Further manifest evil? Further child sacrifice and abuse? A cataclysmic volcano erupting?
Either way, God will have His way; Jesus will have His Bride.

Hello!
This week on the Into the Pray podcast we're grateful to be joined by Alisa Childers...author, worship leader and Christian apologist from the USA.
You can also watch this conversation here via YouTube if you'd prefer. Please remember to subscribe to the channel and share to your networks!
You can also watch our new YouTube series, featuring 15 church leaders, regarding the chaos of the Church. View/subscribe here.
Do you know what "progressive christianity" is? Do you know why it's so dangerous? Do you understand how commonplace heresy is? Do you agree that something more radical is afoot in the Body of Christ? ...and that sitting on the fence will soon no longer be an option?
**Please do share this convo to your networks for us**
Alisa's book, "Another Gospel?”, can be purchased here.

You might like to watch/share our flagship 2021 film here.
This week we continue peering through the God-given window of Scripture to discover how abnormal our secularised world is, let alone our secularised Church.
The main audio in this episode is from a meeting Nick had been invited to speak in last year, hence the audio quality is via Zoom. The blog article/photos associated with this is here along with part two of the audio if you're interested here.
We'll pick things back up with Dave Brennan of Brephos next week.

Greetings All!
Have you had a difficult weekend? Is Monday proving to be more of a struggle than usual?
Perhaps as you’ve watched TV, heard the news or even visited a church, maybe your heart has been ‘stirred with a noble theme’ (Psalm 45:1) and you’re not sure what to do next or, even, who you might talk with?
Spend some time drawing aside with the Lord, lift your heart and mind to Jesus and ask for the fire and wisdom of the Holy Spirit to baptise you in a new way.
Please see here for the rest of the content of this project including a music video here.
Would you like to help us produce more music like this?

Hello!
Thanks as ever for joining us on Into the Pray and our teaching series, City of Temples, through the book of 1 Corinthians.
You can watch this podcast on YouTube here.
For related reading, you can buy Nick's book, Body Zero, here.
In today's session, we spend time looking at vv 14-27 of chapter 12.
Because of his immense suffering for the sake of Jesus’ Name, Paul's own body would have been disabled, heavily scarred and bow-legged; he would have experienced wound infections, mental anguish and, quite likely, joint dislocations.
- As we read and think about Paul's description of the Church as a body, what do you think of the Church today? Are we 'fit for purpose'?
- Where do you think we are heading over the next few years?
- Does your own church feel healthy or dislocated?
- How do you fit in and how do you help others to also fit in?
Here's the film, "Paul - Apostle of Christ" - that I mention. I'm sure you can find it easily for rent.
Here's Nick’s short blog regarding what we thought of the film. What do you think?

Hello!
Thank you for listening to Into the Pray.
Next Friday we are being joined by Alisa Childers so we thought it would be fun this Friday to have a relatively light hearted wind down to the weekend.
Listen to us discuss the top ten most common questions for first dates and you might just chuckle...you'll certainly hear some stories that were new to us!
