Into the Pray episodes

  • Maintaining the Evangelical Faith Today | An Address of Martyn Lloyd-Jones (1952)

    Hello!

In this week’s episode of Into the Pray, I drive to a local quiet spot on the east coast of north Scotland to read for you an address of Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones that ultimately would cause John Stott, (the British theologian from Cambridge), to publicly rebuke him thirteen years later when things came to a controversial head in October 1966.

Lloyd-Jones disagreed with ecumenicalism and the socio-political gospel of  Billy Graham and John Stott so strongly that he chose to face the ignominy that resulted from distancing himself from them both rather than falling into the reality of Galatians 1:7-8.

Are the attitudes which are central to the popularised ecumenical agenda in the so-called Church today (and in Christian homes) true to the gospel of Jesus Christ? What really of these “agree to disagree” agendas that cast a very dark shadow over those who refuse to agree that some doctrines, (and some behaviours), shouldn’t
    ever be expected to change?

Listen to what Lloyd-Jones warned the church about in 1953 and consider the consequences of such an unheeded warning all these years later.

  • Examining Cessationist Theology (Follow-up) 🕊️ [feat. Nick & Mairi]

    Hello!

**N.B. Our main giving page is here. We especially need help with a new filming project that is arguably the most important project we will ever produce. We need financial backing for venue-hire and the expertise from film-makers/editors.**

This important episode of Into the Pray provides the promised follow-up conversation to this YouTube video exposing the woefully weak arguments of Peter Master's book, The Charismatic Illusion.

As Nick and Mairi discuss together, on the one hand we should be all calling out the contradictory condition of the Church with heated indignation and the sharpness of the prophetic gifts of the Holy Spirit, (50% of the Church are in error to the dishonour of God), but we should also produce the bountiful fruit in keeping with His nature.

You can see the 2021 film Nick refers to at the end, Calling YESHUA, below.

    Hello!

N.B. Our main giving page is here. We especially need help with a new filming project that is arguably the most important project we will ever produce. We need financial backing but also expertise from film-makers/editors.

This important episode of Into the Pray features the disturbing details (including lack thereof) of the Lausanne “Covenant” and Movement that’s followed since 1974.

The late Billy Graham and John Stott believed that “fundamentalists” were sinful in their “individualism”…but was this true and is this true today?

Our conversation today followed a meeting that Nick had this week and that once again brought into distressing focus the chaos of the Church. Suffice to say, featuring Jesus' words in John 8, "Let’s Agree to Disagree” is the demonic inscription chiselled over millennia deeply into our altars of self. But Jesus dismantles all by the blast of His merciful Word…

The YouTube version of this podcast is here. Please don't forget to subscribe and click the bell for notifications.

Our main giving page is here.

Episode #1 is from a very blustery Scottish beach in bright sunshine and taking shelter together in a warm cafe with excellent coffee, (we resisted the delicious cakes on offer).

Our conversation this week is to get us all to think about the spiritual climate that we’re all living within — ie that the multiplicity of different Christian doctrines and denominations that are tolerated (and even celebrated) equate to nothing other than deep spiritual sickness and spawning false gospels.

We also provide an update regarding my intense work in the background and invite you to support what we can not do on our own.

  • Why Have We Stopped Eating McDonald's & Shopping w/ Amazon? (feat. Nick & Mairi)

    Greetings All!

[Apologies that the sound isn't as good as we would like it to be while we're trying to make the most of our current set-up].

Nick recently had a significant conversation with a dairy farmer, Edward, while he milked his cows. Edward opened up about the inordinate pressures that he and his family are being put under by the godless government of the land which now means that a bottle of water is more expensive (of more worth) than a bottle of milk. But what does this have to do with eating at McDonald's and shopping with Amazon?

In today's episode of Into the Pray  we explain why we've recently stopped eating McDonald's and shopping with Amazon.

    What are ultra-processed foods (UPFs)?
Is Amazon's customer service really as good as we're all led to believe that it is?
    Is McDonald's OK to eat?

    Also of note:

Back in the spring of this I year, I published the seminal work, "The Glorious Few: Redeeming Radicalisation in the Kingdom of God." In the period of 2 weeks following publishing, several major things happened all at once that could have happened at any point in the previous 9 years. The disruption of the Lord culminated in Mairi resigning from her role as a Teacher of French in a large secondary school in Edinburgh and was a disruption that I wrote about prophetically in the book's epilogue. This episode of the Into the Pray podcast is Mairi's testimony and, as the final podcast in our home where the podcast began, please let me encourage you to listen with a prayerful heart. Perhaps you'd also share the episode to your networks.

what are the dynamics that cause the disconnect between good, godly men whose doctrine is sound...and the radical change that is urgently required?

    Greetings All!

In today's episode of Into the Pray, I provide a follow-on from my personal testimony shared on YouTube last week. You can watch that here.  In short, what happens when "domesticated" civilian leaders encounter shell-shocked prophetic soldiers?

At the end of the episode I offer some advice to both

    2) Civilian pastoral leaders

    In today's episode of
Into the Pray, we sit down in Costa Coffee with a microphone to have a prayerful conversation 4+ months on having "left home and city" as a result of the stand we're taking concerning the chaos of the Church. We've tried to be honest, gracious and encouraging with a very niche audience mainly in mind. We hope that the public ambience isn't distracting from what we share.

By providing something akin to a general update/catch-up, we talk about:

    — Life since leaving home and city
    — Reading the Bible twice in 4 months
    — Three key verses of Scripture: Ezekiel 12:4; Hebrews 10:34; 1 Thessalonians 5:14.
    — Prophetic encouragement and challenge, especially for those experiencing the inner discomfort (and even turmoil) as to if/how you are to separate yourself from all forms and communities of spiritual compromise.
    — Brief feature of a rather forthright naysayer called Rosemary.
