Not all Doctor Who episodes can be the best and not all can be the worst. It is very hard to produce an excellent episode but is it easy to make a bad one? Probably. In 2006 one of the best Doctor Who episodes was aired. This is not that episode. "Love & Monsters" is an episode that you either love or hate, mostly hate. Julia picked this episode out as her worst Doctor Who story and while we have full confidence that she will find plenty of Classic stories that she will hate more than this one, "Love and Monsters" is certainly a stinker. But is there some redeeming quality in it? Will we find something good to say about it? Probably not but hey, listen anyway and if you ever agree or disagree with our opinions feel free to comment.

In 2006 praised writer Steven Moffat returned to Doctor Who with The Girl in the Fireplace and yet again created an amazing episode that is one of the highlights of the season. With Moffat's usual storytelling genius, we saw unfold before us a romance, mystery and adventure full of scares.

This is the first of a new mini series within our podcast series where we take a look at our favorite stories from Doctor Who. I know, there is no such thing as Macra. But if there were then the Doctor Who story, which aired in 1967 features the Doctor, Jamie, Polly and Ben up against a government controlled by something hideous. The story was recently reconstructed using new animation giving us a chance to see it officially for the first time.
