Intolerant Love: 17th Week of Pentecost

Listen Later

Pastor Andrew preaches:

This week’s takeaway: Our culture proclaims a message of "tolerance," encouraging people to receive all beliefs, lifestyles, and philosophies as equally valid and deserving of our acceptance. The Apostle John, echoing Jesus, says something very different. According to God's Word, tolerance of anything and everything is far from a loving action; in fact, God's love is intolerant. He does not tolerate our sinful thoughts and actions that harm others and ourselves; He loves us too much to let us skip down those paths of ultimate destruction. God's love holds us in the healing light of truth and unashamedly shines that loving light into the world around us.
