Telling Indigenous stories the right way takes time, respect, and understanding. SAIT School of Business Communications and Media Studies programs and Chinook Lodge, Learner and Academic Services presents this 3-part series that tackles the best way to approach Indigenous content while also inspiring both Indigenous and non-Indigenous media producers of the future. Our esteemed speakers, newspaper founder John Lagimodiere, photojournalist Candice Ward, and content writer Stephanie Joe, discuss their own experiences as media professionals and provide their knowledge on how to cover Indigenous stories—sharing where we’ve been; where we are; and where we need to go for true reconciliation in the media.
