Kim Albrecht is the host of the award-winning disability podcast LOMAH. Like many parents of children with disabilities, she and her husband, Tom, had questions about Miranda’s (their oldest daughter) future. Some of those questions include “where will she live”, “who will care for her”, and “where will she find her joy”? Over the years she has shared their journey openly through the LOMAH podcast, blog posts, social media (Instagram), and the occasional newsletter. As she says, you are all “invited to fumble through this journey together”.

Kim and her husband, Tom, started the LOMAH podcast (6) years ago. At the time they were, and I would argue still are, trailblazers. No one else was talking about disability planning. In my opinion, there is still no one talking about disability planning to the depth Kim does. Every year she picks a topic she wants to get deep on, and they all tie directly to what she is trying to do for her daughter, Miranda. Past topics have included education, financial planning, and challenging behaviors. You don't have to listen to the seasons in order. In fact, I encourage you to pick the season that resonates most with what you are experiencing now and start there. Be sure to look at the show notes, they are full of GREAT information.
