Hello, and welcome to Who's Doing the Dishes?

This is a podcast that brings an ordinary topic, household chores into conversations that weave together intricacies of relationships, gender norms, home, cultural expectations and much more. Not to mention, it is set in the unique social and urban environment that is Hong Kong and the guests are a diverse bunch of people, with cultures and traditions inherited from their different upbringings in Hong Kong and around the world.

​This 6 part series is part of a research project that looks at the intersections of gender, labour and space, hosted by Evelyn Kwok, a researcher based in Hong Kong. The podcast was recorded in the Phonology Lab at Hong Kong Baptist University. The episodes are edited and produced by Stray Sparrow Limited and the music is created by Alex Purdue.
