Sometimes the greatest lessons about following Christ come from the most unexpected places.
While rock climbing, I quickly discovered that the higher I climbed, the more exhausted I became. I was relying almost entirely on my own strength until an experienced climber offered a simple piece of advice: keep your hips close to the wall. As I learned to lean in instead of pulling away, everything changed. I used less energy, gained better balance, reached the next handhold more easily, and climbed farther than I could before.
That experience became a powerful picture of what Jesus meant when He said, "Abide in Me."
Too often we live the Christian life by striving harder, trying to overcome life's challenges through our own determination. But Jesus never called us to carry that burden alone. He calls us to remain close to Him, to trust Him, to rest in Him, and to draw our strength from Him.
In this episode, we'll explore what it truly means to abide in Christ, why staying close to Him changes everything, and how leaning into His presence gives us the strength, wisdom, and peace to face whatever climb lies ahead.
