The need for this class became clear because I found that during the current run of the Cover-to-Cover: An Overview of the Entire Bible class (which started in October, 2008), I found myself giving updates on current events in light of Biblical prophecy more and more before most of the Sunday school classes actually began.
The reason for this was simple, and yet became even more glaringly apparent lately: Geopolitical and geophysical changes in our present reality had started to escalate very, very rapidly, especially within the last year-and-half or so. The year 2020 alone has seen unfathomable acceleration toward the 7-Year Tribulation. Look around you! Listen, see and observe! The hallmarks of ALL things converging to the end is right before us. Everyone of them one is almost completely fulfilled at this point! It is now undeniable, and and this is the point.
Thus, the need for laser-like focus on prophecy and the need of mapping current events into it. The end-of-the-Age prophecies are almost all fulfilled! You and I stand as part of that very last generation that WILL see the culmination of ALL Biblical prophecy, as Jesus said: "Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled". Make no mistake: we ARE that generation to see all of the indicators manifested. What a privilege to live through what the prophets longed to understand!
So, what is Biblical prophecy? Its on most peoples minds today - even the secular people talk of it. What is it about, and why does it have such a large – and defining – influence throughout God’s Words of Scripture?
First, we endeavor to consider that the whole of the Bible itself is a complete messaging system from the Mind and Heart of the Creator and Sustainer of all in this physical universe. We establish the baseline of the Bible as the foundation of truth, that itself plays out on the first 7,000-year track of this created property called time.
