W pierwszym odcinku introspekcji głównym tematem jest motywacja - szczególnie sytuacje, gdy jej brakuje. Omawiane są także badania na temat tzw. odroczonej gratyfikacji, a także prokrastynacji i jej powiązań z perfekcjonizmem.
