  • 42. Olive Pressed Podcast Premiere: When you are Tired

Being an introvert can feel like a limitation often carrying with it feelings of inadequacy and inferiority. This has caused for many introverts to stay behind the scenes and operate in a lesser version of who God created them to be. This podcast is for the introvert who knows they were called to be more and wants to start their journey towards walking in their full identity in Christ and being ALL they were created to be.

Hosted by Tosin Olusoga, Creator and Founder of Thriving Introvertly, Speaker and Podcaster, this podcast provides weekly encouragement for introverts on their journey to stepping into the fullness of who God has called them to be and serve as a place where we build up the faith to choose purpose daily.

This week's podcast episode will focus on the topic of 'When you are tired'.

  • 41. Season Two Finale: Letting Go and Stepping into the Unknown

The Introverts We Thrive Podcast is back from it's mid-season break with the last episode of not only Season Two but of the entire podcast.

It has been 1 year since the Podcast was created and I am so grateful for what I have been able to achieve with the show. Ending the show is not easy but I know the next season I am stepping into will make it all worth it.

Here is a summary of what I spoke about in this episode:

    • Reason behind the mid-season break
    • Letting go of the Podcast and stepping into a new season
    • What I am going to do after the Podcast
    • Trusting God and being obedient to His instructions
    • and more...

Thank you so much to all of you for tuning into the show over the past year and like I mentioned in the episode, this is not a goodbye but a See you later!

    God Bless :)

  • 40. Julie Greenham: Introvert Assertiveness - Learning How to Confidently Say No

Learning how to confidently say No....

Many introverts and I am sure some non-introverts can find themselves saying Yes to everything just because they find it difficult to say no especially if we do not want to let people down.

This may cause us to become so burned out, frustrated and drained.

On this journey of purpose, it is so important that we ensure that we preserve our energy, time and effort doing things that are in alignment and not just to please people.

Sometimes on this journey, we are going to have to tell people "No" and for many introverts, that can be difficult.

So how can we do this as introverts confidently and effectively?

How can we introverts develop more of an assertiveness to ensure we do not fall victim to dangerous people pleasing and constant cycles of burnout?

In this week's episode of the Introverts We Thrive Podcast, We aired the REPLAY of one of the episodes of The Introvert Conversation IG Live Series where I spoke with Julie Greenham @iamjuliegreenham about this topic and how we as introverts can learn how to confidently say no and avoid burning out so we can preserve our energy for the things that are more in alignment with our God-given purpose.

  • 39. Samantha Sauld: Building Confidence One Small Step at a Time

Building Confidence in yourself as an Introvert....

One of the things that used to hold me back from truly pursuing my purpose was the lack of confidence I had in myself and my abilities....

I wasn't sure if I could measure up to others who's personality were much different from mine and Secondly, I just did not believe that what I had to offer was good enough or was valuable compared to others...

This is what is stopping a lot of people specifically Introverts from actually stepping out and walking in their purpose confidently and authentically. Instead, we hide our gifts, never use our voice and fade into the background when we know that there is something more that God has placed inside us to do...

How can we build confidence in ourselves and finally be all who were created to be?

How do we summon up the courage to put ourselves out there confidently when we do not feel confident?

In this week's episode of the Introverts We Thrive Podcast, We aired the REPLAY of one of the episodes of The Introvert Conversation IG Live Series where I spoke with Samantha Sauld @theintuitiveone_ about this topic and how we as introverts can learn to build confidence one small step at a time especially when it relates to our purpose journey.

    *****************************************************************

Samantha is passionate about exploring what it means to live an authentic, healthy and fulfilling life. From a young age, she naturally gravitated to holistic and naturopathic ways to heal. This led to not only focusing on her physical wellbeing, but also her mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Samantha typically kept her passions to herself and her loved ones, but as the COVID-19 pandemic took the world by storm, she felt compelled to share her purpose. Thus, The Intuitive One was born - an online safe space documenting her journey toward a more fulfilling life using intuitive knowledge, self-care rituals, and by connecting with nature.

  • 38. Getting Your Joy Back

Comparison is the biggest thief of joy...

Many of us have doubted our path, questioned our work and our purpose and fall into states of unhappiness all because we allowed ourselves to compare our journey with someone else's.

Similarly, fellow introverts, we have compared themselves to extroverts and have disregarded our own unique gifts and the goodness that lies within us. We end up doing either of these two things:

    1. Chase after being someone or doing something that is not true to themselves which in the long run brings unhappiness....
    2. Hide because they do no think what they have is good enough or worthy to be seen by others. Which in the long run keeps you frustrated and unfulfilled never really fulfilling your true potential...

In this week's episode of the Introverts We Thrive Podcast, I spoke about how comparison steals our joy and what to do to get our joy back.

Here's a summary of what I spoke about:

    • How Comparison steals our joy
    • Healthy Inspiration vs Dangerous Comparison
    • The definition of "greater" that we tend to like to pursue
    • Trusting your own unique process and path
    • and more...

  • 37. Paul Juggins: Reframing your mind and Becoming an Influential Introvert

Purpose is Bigger than the Stories you tell yourself....

When it comes to stepping into your calling and becoming all you were created to be, your mindset around what you can and cannot do or what you can and cannot achieve matters.

Our mind is filled with many thoughts, some positive and some negative but we get to chose which ones are uprooted and which ones are allowed to remain planted in our minds..

The mind is essentially like a battlefield, where we decide which thoughts live and which ones die...

Unfortunately for many of us, we have allowed negative thoughts to take up root in our minds which in turn impact our actions and behaviours.

We allow thoughts of "I'm not good enough" or "No one would ever want to read that from me" to dominate our minds leading to the gifts that God placed inside us to remain hidden.

In this week's episode of the Introverts We Thrive Podcast, I spoke with Mindset Specialist for Introverts Paul Juggins about how to Overcome the Negative Thought Cycles that often occur in our minds and the importance of reframing our minds, telling ourselves new positive stories to enable us to pursue our purpose with more confidence, grace and compassion for ourselves.

Our calling is bigger than us and in order to fulfil it, we need to learn how to deal with the battle that occurs in the mind.

Here's a summary of what I spoke about:

    - Paul's Journey to becoming a Mindset Specialist for Introverts
    - Dealing with negative mindset patterns
    - Embracing your natural introvert qualities as you pursue purpose
    - Why Purpose is bigger than your ego and what makes you comfortable
    - and much more

  • 36. Stretched for Purpose

If you want to grow, you have to accept that it is going to require you to be stretched.....

You may have come across content regarding being an introvert e.g. its okay to always be on your own etc. and affirm you and there is nothing wrong with it because I believe some aspects of what has been said are true.

However, for us introverts that know we have a greater calling upon our lives, we cannot run away from the idea that some of these things do not apply to us.

We have to accept that as Introverts with a greater purpose, it is going to require for us to be stretched sometimes.

In this week's episode of the Introverts We Thrive Podcast, I spoke about what it means to be Stretched for Purpose.

Here's a summary of what I spoke about:

    • The true meaning of what it means to be stretched
    • The Process of Stretching
    • My personal experience with being stretched at a particular time in my life
    • How to manage the Stretching

  • 34. Dr. Patrice Buckner Jackson: Compassion Fatigue and Disrupting Cycles of Burnout as an Introvert

Are you a heart worker? Someone that serves from the heart but constantly finds yourself in positions where you are drained and have nothing left to give?

For many of us introverts, Burnout is something that we often experience especially when it comes to walking in our purpose and serving others.

While one of our introvert Superpowers is our ability to show compassion and care for others, this superpower can easily turn into a quality that can do us harm if we are not careful...

    How?

Because our tendency to show compassion can lead us into making ourselves so available and carrying so many burdens on our shoulders with not enough space to cater for ourselves and others important areas of our lives.

But what if I told you, you didn't have to walk in purpose and be burnout to achieve your goals?

What if I told you that you could serve and walk in purpose without constantly feeling drained and neglect other areas of your life that you hold dear?

In this episode of the Introverts We Thrive Podcast, I spoke with Special guest Dr. Patrice Buckner Jackson, Educator and Founder of EduCare Training and Consulting, LLC about how to Disrupt Cycles of Burnout and overcome Compassion Fatigue.

Here is a summary of what we spoke about:

    •  Dr. PBJ's rock bottom moment of burnout
    • The effects of burnout on other areas of your life that you hold dear
    • What it truly means to Disrupt the Cycles of Burnout and how to achieve this
    • The Best ways to approach and manage your "To-Do" List
    • and much more!

  • 33. Identifying areas for Growth as an Introvert in 2022

How to be a better version of you in 2022....

One factor that determines how great your year will be is how willing and honest you are prepared to be regarding the area you need to grow in to fulfil your goals....

The new year is filled with many people stating "New Year New Me" but really and truly, some have just not done the work needed to identify what they need to work on within themselves to become this "New Me"...

This is how you drop off in the middle of the year, you think that hitting those goals is merely a decision you make, an nice affirmation and collages on a vision board but you dont realize that there is more to it than that...

You need to connect your vision to the areas you still need to grow in otherwise there will always be a disconnect and you may not fully reach your goal

On this weeks episode of the Introverts We Thrive Podcast, I speak about how to Identify Areas for growth in your life as an Introvert. Identifying these will give you a solid foundation from which you can  now work on to really be that better version of you this year and beyond to achieve your goals

Here is a summary of what was spoken about:

    • Why I don't believe in "New Year New Me"
    • 3 Ways to Identify areas of Growth as an Introvert
    • Why I believe that Natural human skills are not and should not be specific to a personality
