Kyle and JJ take a trip down memory lane to discuss Invader Zim, the cult-favorite animated series by Jhonen Vasquez that aired on Nickelodeon from 2001 to 2002. The show follows Zim, an overzealous alien from the militaristic planet Irk, assigned to conquer Earth. Disguised as a human child, Zim enrolls in a local school to blend in and devise his plans for world domination. Known for its dark humor and unsettling themes, Invader Zim often pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable on a children’s network. The show's unique style and twisted humor earned it a devoted fan base.
