In this Live & Belong series, we’re following Paul’sletter to the followers of Jesus in the city of Corinth in 1 Corinthians.   The letter was written in around 54ad – so around 25 years after the death and resurrection of Jesus.  Paul is writing from Ephesus.

Corinth was a small congregation, possibly even a network ofgroups which met in peoples homes throughout the city and surrounding area.  This letter from Paul is centred around how the Jesus followers are to relate to each other and to the world around them.

So, it’s themes are very important for us today as we builda new expression of church community at Inverclyde Vineyard Church.

In this episode we see how the Corinthian worldview was being mingled and synchronised with Christian living. The grace of God was being exploited and even those outside the church were not agreeing with the moral and ethical stance they were taking and practicing.
