Logistic Records celebrate their 30th anniversary with a special reissue of four tracks from veteran of the scene Tobias. that were initially released across two EPs in 2006 and 2007 - Street Knowledge and Dial. 'Solid State' epitomises the minimal yet vivacious aesthetic of the release. A simple, dampened kick opens alongside a noodling bassline, before lush piano chords, crisp hats and urgent vocal samples bump the track along at a satisfyingly danceable pace.

Berlin’s DIY imprint Craft Services launches with Solid State from founder 11:68PM. Field Records continue their run of essential archival vinyl reissues with a beautifully remastered edition of Stephen Hitchell’s 2009 ambient dub techno masterpiece under his Variant alias, The Setting Sun.

Best known as the driving force behind Echospace Detroit and celebrated for his work as cv313, Intrusion and Soultek, Hitchell stands as one of dub techno’s defining producers - an artist equally fluent in deep rhythmic propulsion and pure tonal immersion. As Variant, he distils that full spectrum into an ambient-with-teeth suite that finally receives the vinyl pressing it has long deserved.

Originally released as a CD-only album on Echospace Detroit, The Setting Sun was constructed through an intensely tactile process. Hitchell drew from field recordings of late-night storms in Berlin and train journeys through Narita Airport in Japan, blending them with outboard synthesis, samplers and hardware recording techniques - with no computers involved at any stage. That physical approach to sound design radiates throughout the album: towering chords rich with harmonic overtones, surface noise used as an expressive element, and subtle layers of distortion that deepen the narrative weight of each piece.

Rob Clouth returns with Cicada, a four-track EP that signals a shift toward a faster, more instinctive creative process, accompanied by an IA MIX that blurs the line between DJing and production. Built in Ableton at 160–170 BPM, the mix layers over 25 tracks using edits, stem separation and rapid transitions, resulting in a dense, high-energy session that reflects his current maximalist approach.

In conversation with Ryan Pivovar, Clouth discusses moving away from rigid concepts toward a more playful, process-driven workflow. Rather than over-curating, he’s focused on momentum, embracing spontaneity and letting ideas flow more freely.

The interview also explores his collaboration with Max Cooper, his thoughts on AI as both a creative tool and a challenge, and Noise Canvas, his self-built sound design software. Together, Cicada and the mix capture an artist loosening control, trusting instinct, and building toward a future album.

Canadian producer Andre Zimmer debuts on Craigie Knowes with Swamp Circuit, a four-track EP born from London-based hardware jams. Blending UK breaks, electro, bassline and flashes of 90s rave energy, the record balances punch and emotion with confident precision. From the snappy drive of “Pushing My Buttons” to the high-energy breaks of the title track and “Flashing Red,” Zimmer navigates club intensity and after-hours atmosphere. Closing cut “Broken News” fuses infectious electro with a hypnotic 303 line, delivering tension, release and euphoric momentum.

For IA MIX 398, @intertoto_music steps away from the traditional DJ format to deliver an exclusive live set composed of unreleased material and dubbed-out stems - a snapshot of a performance configuration currently taking shape. Immersed in a super dubby, murky atmosphere, the set gradually gives way to a handful of 4/4 excursions towards the closing stretch.

Keeping things deliberately minimal, the live setup centres around Ableton, recently expanded with Intech Studio MIDI controllers and coloured by a hands-on outboard effects chain. As Intertoto notes, even subtle shifts in processing can dramatically reshape the outcome - a philosophy that permeates the mix’s fluid, zoned-out energy. Recorded in the studio with headphones on, this is deep immersion: “some proper zoned out business…”

On Friday 6 February, Paris bass collective WizZ joined forces with Inverted Audio for a full-spectrum session moving through bass, techno and jungle. The collaboration unfolded across two stops, beginning with a pre-party at Inverted Audio Record Store, Peckham, ahead of the club night at Venue M.O.T. This recording captures the in-store session, featuring sets from Lutsu and WizZ founder STL-P, laying down the foundations for the night to come.
