He then went from to high end consumer goods (Bentley, Lamborghini, Vespa). This led to sports marketing, (Nike, Motorola and Direct TV). He started a tech company with two friends which gave him his first real exposure to venture capital. In his episode, Doug offers his advice to those wanting to invest in the CPG space- " Have realistic expectation. I think that's probably very broad and candid advice. But food and beverage venture capital was created in back when unit costs weren't really a consideration. Scalability is quite infinite."
