In this episode I talk about how I have made lifestyle changes to help manage the symptoms of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome since my diagnosis in 2018. I also discuss the impacts of being diagnosed, which are often dismissed as the emotional impact of this condition is underestimated. Like I mention - please discuss with your healthcare practitioner before making any big changes and for any medical advice, as I am just speaking from experience and lots and lots of reading!
Dating in the modern world (and pandemic life!) is all very new and different, with a much stronger focus on connections and communications online. In today's podcast Compatibility and Dating Coach Caitlin provides us with some really useful tools to navigate your way through the confusing and sometimes consuming experience of dating in the modern age. We talk about picking up red flags early on, what topics you should cover in early conversations, as well as how to gracefully let someone know that you are no longer interested! Caitlin gives a great insight into how recently the world has changed regarding women's rights and men's attitudes, and how this, along with our parental influences have changed the way the game works. Okay so, having been through two(ish) breakups this year (and having finally felt ready to talk about it), HERE WE ARE. No self-help tips today, I'm just telling you how the aftermath went for me. Including my hoe phases, mental breakdowns, constantly running away to my parents house because my thoughts were too loud, and honestly just going through a process that has been mindblowingly challenging and equally transformative. I'm glad I voiced this... LYL xoxoxo
You can tell I feel passionately about this one because I SPEAK SO FAST!!! There is a lot of negativity around dating apps (and trust me, I highlight this with my own experiences in this episode), BUT... I have also learnt some really helpful things about myself, and about how I use these apps, that have led to a much healthier online dating experience. Come on in!
Lots of people are experiencing a heightened sense of anxiety around death at the current time, and in this podcast I talk you through different techniques to help you make peace with that fear. Is it death itself that you are truly afraid of? I talk about my personal spiritual beliefs around death and how they have helped me, as well as the true concept of time and how it can hinder rather than help. Also, how planning your funeral and planning a way to help those you leave behind through their grieving process can actually make you feel more in control around death.
In this weeks podcast I was fortunate enough to chat with X-Factor Finalist, International Womens Empowerment Coach, Speaker and Minister Rachel Yvonne. She tells me how her passion and finding her why has driven her both in business and in her personal life, whilst being able to merge niches and engage audiences from both! We talk about the effects of trolling and insecurities online, and how she has overcome them and created influential and empowering online platforms. Rachel truly is leading the way, helping creators live out their divine dream making a profit from their passions.
In this episode I talk about how to change your restrictive attitude towards food and fitness journeys into a positive and health focused one! I speak about how anorexia and binge eating disorder have taught me a lot about the importance of focusing on the benefits of what we eat, rather than using food as a tool for punishing ourselves. Also, some unusual psychological theories as to where comfort eating may stem from that might be more true than you would think. Food is fuel!
