God's people cry out for rescue while God prepares a deliverer.

Each year, in the weeks leading up to Christmas, we have been going through a book of the Old Testament, taking special note of how that book points to Jesus. Today, we begin a series that will take us through some key chapters in the book of Exodus. May God mold us by His Word over the next 7 weeks!

We have already covered the glorious truths that on the authority of Scripture alone, we can learn, believe and proclaim the good news that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

For our final sermon in this series, we go back to the book of 1 Timothy where we'll see and rejoice in the truth that God alone deserves all honor and glory.

How can we proclaim with absolute certainty that salvation comes by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone? Is it because church tradition teaches us that? Is it because it is in a church's canon law? No. We proclaim this with absolute certainty because this truth is revealed to us in the God-breathed word of Scripture. And because Scripture is the Word of God, it carries an authority that no human or institution should ever claim.
