God's people grow in their following after Jesus; they should expect to see their communities change. IPC has identified five characteristics of a mature community of disciples that we are striving for.

The goal of our ministry at IPC is to assist in growing mature disciples. Maturity is marked by integrity to God's word, humility before God, and compassion like God's heart. These attributes grow in us as we follow after Jesus, committed to his word, will, and way.

While many evangelicals view discipleship as a program or an advanced kind of Christianity, the Bible teaches us something different. Disciples are those who follow after Jesus, committed to his word, his will, and his way. Looking at Mark 1:14-20, 2:13-17, we discover four implications for what it is to be a disciple of Jesus.
