  • FREE ALL CAPTIVE ELEPHANTS (FACE) & Buffalo Field Campaign with Coexist Ep.133
Robin Vitulle, Co-Founder, Vice President and on the Board of Directors of FREE ALL CAPTIVE ELEPHANTS (FACE) since the nonprofit’s inception in 2017. Robin began her advocacy for elephants in 2013 while learning of the elephant poaching crisis in Africa. As an animal lover all of her life, this new journey brought her to become aware of the suffering of elephants held in captivity in circuses and zoos right here in the USA and decided this is where she could do more to advocate to make a positive change.
Robin was instrumental in the passing of Nosey’s Law in New Jersey. She gave testimony before the NJ Senate and Assembly Committees while working alongside retired NJ Senator Raymond J. Lesniak. Nosey’s Law made NJ the first state in the U.S. to ban the use of wild and exotic animals in traveling animal acts.
She has also organized many peaceful circus protests, both in New Jersey and for other advocates where circuses are held. Most notable was the protesting and tracking of Nosey the elephant where the end result was Nosey's rescue and placement into a beautiful sanctuary where she is thriving and learning to be the elephant she was always meant to be. Robin also serves as Co- Treasurer of FACE.

  • Mother of a Combat Veteran with Take It Back with Tommy and Tina Ep. 132
Lisa Hiering specializes in helping Veterans navigate the SSDI application process to greatly increase their chances of getting approved for benefits. Lisa sharpened her skills as a Social Security Claims Specialist.
She had to leave her job at Social Security, which she loved, in 2014 after receiving an injury that left her disabled and unable to perform her duties any longer. Fortunately for you and, I she lost neither her knowledge nor her love of helping others.
Though she was able to use her knowledge to secure SSDI benefits for herself, she wanted to do more. So, she started to do what she knew best - helping disabled people (in particular Veterans) navigate the Social Security Disability process.
Lisa found that many Veterans (especially the 100% disabled with the VA Vets) were getting denied. Her oldest son is a combat Marine Corps Veteran so to her, Veterans are her family. They are where Lisa’s passion lies and so she feels driven to help them. Because she is disabled herself, she understands the challenges they are facing. Veterans she has worked with describe Lisa as “a wealth of information”,” genuine”, “passionate”, “very caring”, “encouraging”, and a “gem of a person”.
At Social Security, one of Lisa’s responsibilities was to process the denials for her entire office. At the time, she really disliked it, but it gave her a great deal of insight into how and why claims get denied and how much of that can be prevented. From Lisa’s experiences at SSA and from how she further educated herself since retiring, she formed clear opinions on the best way to file for SSDI and what follow up actions have to be taken. And, because of her strong connections to the Veteran community, Lisa has many resources that she passes on to her clients: how to find camaraderie and mission again, how to find free military retreats, how to find nontraditional treatments for PTSD and TBI outside the VA, etc.
Lisa genuinely cares about Veterans- above and beyond helping them file for Social Security Disability. As a result, after a consultation with her, Veterans report feeling “informed”, “at ease”, “encouraged”, “respected”, “listened to” and “confident”. That, to Lisa, is priceless.
You can reach Lisa by emailing her at [email protected] or by calling her at
