US-Iran attacks are outrunning the ceasefire text: Washington and Tehran traded another round of strikes while the full MOU and continuing technical talks point to a 60-day diplomatic window that may already be cracking.

# US-Iran memorandum of understanding in full
Our take: We’d separate the moral outrage from the diplomatic mechanics here: a $300 billion reconstruction framework is politically explosive, but calling it the largest U.S. defeat in history assumes the money actually materializes and the war actually ends. Both are still very live questions.
Our take: This is the right place to look: the phrase “with regional partners” is doing a lot of work. If the U.S. is granting waivers and permissions while Gulf states or Europeans are expected to help finance reconstruction, the next fight may be over who writes the checks, not just who signs the MOU.
Our take: The profanity is doing overtime, but the fragility point is real: any 60-day process that includes Lebanon, Israel, Iran, U.S. sanctions, and Hormuz shipping has a lot of veto players. We wouldn’t reduce that to one leader, but one spoiler can absolutely wreck a narrow diplomatic window.

US-Iran memorandum of understanding is now public, laying out 14 points for ending the war, reopening Hormuz and negotiating a final deal in 60 days, even as Lebanon strikes test the truce.
In this episode# US-Iran memorandum of understanding in full
Our take: We get why the $300 billion figure lands like a political grenade, but calling it the largest U.S. defeat assumes a reconstruction framework equals a blank check. The harder question is whether that money buys enforceable restraint, or just rebuilds after a war no one can afford to restart.
Our take: The fear that Israel could blow up the 60-day clock is not coming from nowhere; Lebanon is written directly into this MOU. But “zero control” is too absolute — U.S. leverage over arms, air cover and diplomacy is real if Washington chooses to use it.
Our take: This is the right clause to stare at: Point 6 is where ceasefire diplomacy becomes balance-sheet politics. We’d separate the outrage from the mechanics, though — licenses, waivers and who actually pays matter as much as the headline $300 billion.
