The second panel discussion at the 5th annual IPBN Sustainability conference on March 19th at the CCIP in Lisbon was on solutions to drive sustainable economic value for healthy oceans. The conversation was moderated by Susan Cabeceiras, IPBN Board Member and Founder & CEO of KONCEPTNESS Gestão de Projetos, Imobiliária, Arquitetura, Engenharia & Design, and welcomed two distinguished guests to the stage: Paulo Vasconcelos Figueiredo, the Business Development Manager and Technical Project Manager at CEiiA and Blueinsight, and Gavin Mc Bride, the Managing Director of Enerview Solutions, which was one of the three IPBN Business Success Award winners in 2023. Gavin was also a speaker at the IPBN Porto Ocean Conference in 2023.

The IPBN Sustainability Conference focused on the development, innovation, and challenges faced in Air, Sea, and Food throughout three different panel discussions and a lineup of keynote talks led by industry experts. The first conversation of the conference was on the important topic of social and environmental innovation to change current consumption habits with Silvia Correia, IPBN 2023 Business Success Award Winner, Social Entrepreneur & Founder & CEO of re.store, and IPBN member Nessa Maguire, Co-founder & CEO of EudaOrg. The last panel discussion at the IPBN's St. Patrick's Day Sustainability Conference was between Manuela Pintado, Associate Professor at School of Biotechnology, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and Nicola Sainty, Business Relationship Manager at Revive Active, moderated by IPBN Porto Chair John Paul Prior, General Manager at Musicmaker Dublin and Co-Founder & Strategy Director at Farmony Europe. These panelists came together for a very interesting conversation about how Food, Nutrition, and general Well-Being relate to Sustainability.
