Water Minister Matthew Samuda has sought to assure that the Government and the National Water Commission (NWC) are very focused on delivering its capital programme.

The Bank of Jamaica says the banking sector is just now recovering from the significant negative impact of Hurricane Melissa on the ABM infrastructure.

The St. James Police Division has recorded 34 murders since the start of the year. 

This represents an increase of 11 when compared to the 23 reported for the same period last year.

ZOSOS are in seven communities. They are Denham Town in West Kingston; Norwood and Mount Salem in St. James; Greenwich Town, Parade Gardens and August Town in St. Andrew, and Savanna-la-Mar in Westmoreland. The evaluation is supported by grant funding from the Inter-American Development Bank and is expected to reveal the results by July.
