The University of the West Indies (UWI) and the Caribbean School of Medical Sciences have indicated their willingness to consider applications from Jamaican medical students in Cuba.

This was disclosed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kamina Johnson Smith.

The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (JCC) has called on the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to announce without further delay the commencement of the consultative process to review the Labour Relations Code.

Effective May 20, the JUTC reduced the frequency of its Ocho Rios service in response to concerns raised by Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) operators.The operators lamented that the JUTC was stealing their passengers and, in essence, reducing their profits.
